From a Talent Match networking session over a coffee to an exhibition at the Turner Contemporary in Margate, featuring our own Talent Match street photography course participants, catch up with the latest.
Talent Match coffee morning
In July, Talent Match Executive, Gail Wood and her merry band of Talent Match Mentors met for a networking session over coffee. This was a really productive session where volunteers were able to meet one another, share best practice and discuss how we can all best support young people.

We discussed approaches to CV and interview skills and the support available to assist in developing these areas.
We also shared additional local opportunities, knowledge, and garnered feedback on ways that Talent Match support can continue to improve.

Turner Contemporary photo exhibition
Over the summer, 11 young people attending the Talent Match programme from across Kent took part in a street photography course.
As part of the course they learnt about shooting street photography using professional camera equipment. The icing on the cake was having their work displayed at an exhibition at the Turner Contemporary in Margate.
One young person who took part, Joe Stirrups (pictured above), said:
"I really enjoyed the course and the people in it and learning the different ways to take photos".
Joe added:
Joe is now exploring work experience opportunities with a photographer.
The exhibition, which was free to attend, was held at the Turner Contemporary over two weekends from 3 -12 November and was attended by many visitors leaving some amazing comments.
