Mosaic Primary School Mentor
Supporting delivery on a group mentoring scheme working with 9-11 year olds and their parents across one academic term.
What is it?
Our primary school mentoring programme aims to raise aspirations of young boys and girls, and to help empower their parents so that they are better able to support their children fulfil their potential.
The role involves:
- Working within a mentor team, you will be supporting the delivery of sessions on themes including employability, confidence, the British education system and citizenship from the Mosaic research pack
- Provide examples of balancing work with family, what it means to be a good citizen, and the role of women and men in society
- Help to improve confidence, raise aspirations and encourage engagement in long-term education
What is the impact?
Volunteers can have a huge impact on the effectiveness of The Trust, supporting with bespoke projects which can make our systems and processes more efficient. The programme seeks to equip young girls and boys with the skills to connect education to work at an early age through mentors from professional backgrounds acting as role models.
What is the time commitment?
A commitment of one to two hours per week, in a school for ten consecutive weeks.
