Volunteer for us

With the commitment of our volunteers, we are able to offer a support network to young people facing significant barriers to employment, education or training.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do

Last year Business Mentors donated over 220,000 hours to The Prince's Trust.

We’ve always been reliant on dedicated volunteers like you to help us in our mission of turning the lives of young people around. Whether you’re helping in our offices and centres or working one-to-one with young people, your support can have a powerful impact and long lasting effects.

Use the filter below to explore the roles available in your region. If you find a role you’re interested in, we’d love to hear from you – simply fill in our enquiry form, telling us the role you’d like to apply for, and we’ll be in touch with you soon.

  • Reliability
  • Ability to relate to and empathise with young people and their aspirations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially listening skills
  • Ability to be non-judgemental, self-aware, patient, understanding, flexible, positive and supportive in all situations
  • Ability to challenge own assumptions and negativity

Support young people on our online learning platform – Prince’s Trust Online

Do you want to volunteer online at a time and place convenient for you? In the coming weeks, we will need e-mentors to support our young people on a range of programmes on Prince’s Trust Online, from Enterprise Online to Employability. The role will involve supporting a young person through their e-learning and mentoring them to reach goals and objectives tailored to their needs. You can read a full role description (pdf, 225kb) and watch the video below which answers the top five FAQs about becoming an e-mentor.
If you want to get involved, simply register your interest by clicking this link and sending through your details. We look forward to welcoming you to The Prince’s Trust!
“E-mentoring is a great option for anyone who is busy. I have never done 1:1 mentoring before because I work full-time and have a young family. I have really enjoyed mentoring and the platform is a really easy way to chat and get feedback quickly. I would highly recommend it for your own personal development and to give something back. Get involved.”
