The People Power Award recognises a company’s contribution to employee engagement:

Joules (Companies under 5,000 UK Employees)

Joules have done something incredible this year to inspire every single one of their stores to champion young people. Over the past 12 months, Joules’ staff and customers have been pacing the floors, engaging over 80 teams to take on Future Steps Challenge and the creativity hasn’t stopped there. In top stores, customer and HQ got creative to raise money as part of Joules’ Charity Week which included everything from pet competitions, in-store slumber parties, to store to store cycle challenges – a real People Power achievement.

Barclays (Companies over 5,000 UK Employees)

An incredible team from Barclays organised an epic 100km Wheels for Change event for over 300 riders. This spectacular event has been supporting The Trust for 4 years and in 2018 the team have high hopes to smash their £1million pound target!  From the beginning the dedicated team volunteered their time to plan, market and organise the incredible Wheels for Change challenge, improving the event every year to ensure cyclists not only have a brilliant time, but know why they’re fundraising and how important it is to young people. Well done Barclays.

The Going for Gold Award recognises a company within the first two years of working together who are rapidly growing the partnership:

Charles Tyrwhitt

In the first two years of supporting The Trust, Charles Tyrwhitt pulled out all the stops to get their employees involved in all manner of fundraising and volunteering activities. They have taken on challenge after challenge to raise funds for The Trust, from their founder Nick Wheeler cycling from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, employees completing an epic ‘Tour De North’ in store cycle ride and 39 of them scaling the National Three Peaks in 24 hours along with one of our Young Ambassadors, Daniel. Alongside all the physical activity, they also created a special product range to raise funds for The Trust so they can share their passion for helping young people with their customers as well as their staff. Well done Charles Tyrwhitt!

The All Round Hero Awards recognise the overall achievements of a company:

Deloitte London Consulting (Companies under 5,000 UK Employees)

Deloitte London Consulting has an ambitious strategy to impact one million futures and we are just one of 15 charity partners enabling them to make a difference through our Achieve schools programme in London. The partnership is led by an impressive team of charity champions who last year raised an incredible £220,000.This ambitious team of fundraisers have engaged colleagues across their office to get involved in everything from their epic Battle of the Bands competition to their annual football tournament. They have trekked across Scotland and to the heights of Kilimanjaro this year and are already on track to raise even more in their 3rd year. On top of their fundraising they also welcome young people into their business where volunteers help them to develop their interview and CV skills as well as volunteering their time to help The Trust with a range of pro bono projects. Congratulations Deloitte London Consulting.

HSBC (Companies over 5,000 UK Employees)

Together with HSBC  we have been able to achieve incredible things this year to help young people Thrive. This inspiring national campaign has helped highlight the important work of The Trust, a new research report has helped us understand the important impact our schools programmes has in helping young people re-engage and stay in education, and their backing of our policy work has help boost our ambitions to give young people a greater stake in society.

HSBC’s long-term investment has helped transform our education offer and their commitment to help young people into work, has seen hundreds of young people access their impactful traineeship programme and into jobs. Launching a new partnership this year has enabled The Trust to further employability programmes across the UK as well as test innovative new approaches in helping more young people start their careers. HSBC’s support hasn’t stopped there with new opportunities to work together with our colleagues across the globe through Prince’s Trust International.

The Service to Young People Awards recognise the companies that have contributed the most to programmes and corporate volunteering:

The ASOS Foundation (Companies under 5,000 UK Employees)

The ASOS Foundation has been supporting young people to build their confidence and develop key STEM skills through action-packed programmes, inspiring young people into the world of Fashion, Customer Care and Technology.

Across all their sites, volunteers continue to innovate and deliver action-packed courses, supporting young people build skills in coding, blogging, buying, merchandising, HTML and lots more. As well as developing fantastic STEM digital content, The and working with us to create campaigns to help us reach thousands more young people who need our help the most, The ASOS Foundation also celebrated a £1million fundraising milestone. Without the energy and passion of ASOS volunteers none of this would be possible, thank you ASOS Foundation.

Barclays (Companies over 5,000 UK Employees)

Volunteering forms a key part of Barclays long-term partnership with The Trust, with over 1,000 colleagues from across the whole of the UK giving their time to support young people last year. They have delivered The Trust’s biggest ever one-day mentoring event hosted at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, where 90 young people were supported by an amazing team of volunteers to explore how ‘personal brand’ can help them present what makes them unique in a confident and impactful way. And the volunteering doesn’t stop there with October being a bumper month of activity – Through Make A Difference Month the team have been running a huge number of skills workshops for young people as well as providing an all-important online CV reviewing service helping young people make their next step in their career journey.

The Blazing Saddles Awards recognise companies who have contributed the most to the 2018 Palace to Palace challenge:

The White Company (Companies with under 5,000 employees)

The small but mighty Team The White Company, with a team of just 33 riders, raised a staggering £23,402.48 between them at Palace to Palace 2018. If that wasn’t enough, Team The White Company joined forces with Chrissie Rucker OBE and Mary Homer, who lead our Women Supporting Women initiative to create an unstoppable Women Supporting Women team who in total raised an absolutely incredible £81,000 to support young people. We even saw team members dress in Elf outfits to complete the challenge.

Accenture (Companies with over 5,000 employees)

Accenture had our largest team of the year with 256 riders and were an incredible force with their fundraising. Accenture went above and beyond to recruit riders and were an incredible support in the lead up and on the day. Thank you to Team Accenture.

Marks and Spencer

It's a very special year for M&S as it is 5 years since they launched their employability programme in partnership with The Trust. Every year they give 1,500 young people the opportunity to gain employability skills and on the job retail experience and yet they are still challenging themselves to reach more young people. As you can imagine those growing up and leaving care can face a number of setbacks and barriers to employment, and a pilot programme is changing that in Liverpool. M&S have continued to innovate programmes and each year go above and beyond to break barriers support more young people – well done M&S.

The Reaching Further Award recognises the company with the most collaborative approach to their partnership, who is working across 2 or more sites:


In the past 12 months Gap have transformed the pace and scale at which they’ve reached further to support more young people than ever before.

Gap have more than tripled the number of its stores that are opening their doors to young people, delivering action-packed programmes to support young people to build their self-belief and retail experience to be the best they can be. Reaching 44 UK store communities, compared to 15 the year before. This is set to grow further, as we look to reach a bold 5% ambition of store role recruitment being made up of young people supported through our partnership next year.

On top, Gap have reached further to engage every single colleague across HQ stores and customers to fundraise. For example 76 teams took part in Future Steps, raising over £22,000. Also driving innovative customer facing brand campaigns including a collaboration for World Mental Health Day. to help us reach further to engage more young people, who need our help the most.

The Working Together Award recognises the company who has best collaborated with another organisation or organisations as part of their partnership with The Prince's Trust:


Škoda has worked together with Media Agency, FUSE PHD, The Guardian and Drum to deliver a series of impactful programmes giving young people the opportunity to express themselves through creative courses. Working alongside industry experts, these young people have created their own projects which included recording their own radio show, creating theatre production and films empowering them to make a positive impact in their community and build their own confidence. These courses have helped young people explore those issues which matter most to them. A real first for the Trust, working together with the automotive industry and delivering exciting new programmes well done Skoda and the FUSE PHD team for their Driver’s Seat Initiative.

Outstanding Individual Award - outstanding commitment to fundraising:

Jon Edwards, Oracle

Jon has made a huge personal commitment to the Trust which has taken him on an epic cycle adventure of 11,230 miles, beginning a year ago at Palace to Palace. Representing the full range of 11 to 30 years olds we support, this personal challenge, which has involved colleagues along the way, is truly deserving of our Outstanding Individual Award.

Vicky Ogden, Ascential

Vicky has been an outstanding champion of the Trust who goes above and beyond to give young people the opportunity to develop their skills and gain invaluable experience of the world of work. She has been a driving force in growing the Ascential and Prince’s Trust partnership and has had huge influence in making roles in the business more accessible to young people supported by The Trust. In particular, is Vicky’s incredible energy and support, with the most creative ways of getting more people involved in fundraising to support our work.

The Innovation Award* new for this year, recognises a corporate partner who has taken a new approach in their partnership and/or created an innovative fundraising activity, programme or an entirely new concept designed to support young people:


Jagex has done something very special to engage a whole new audience for The Trust while raising an incredible amount to support our work. For thousands of young people the sense of community they find through gaming is a powerful thing and one that can have a really positive impact on their wellbeing. Jagex developed an innovative in-game opportunity to help raise awareness of mental health and how the support of an organisation like The Trust could help. During Mental Health Awareness week, they created an opportunity for their players to purchase a baby yeti character in their flagship game ‘RuneScape’. The in-game opportunity engaged 50% of players during mental health week, educating many of Jagex’s players on such an important topic. For The Trust it offered an interactive approach to bring our message to life and really connect with consumers, integrating us into gameplay and gamer engagement. Jagex has run three in game fundraising & awareness initiatives throughout their partnership with The Trust, raising over £100,000, and engaging tens of thousands of players.
