Beyoncé’s global campaign #BeyGOOD has raised more than £85,000 for The Prince’s Trust to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK.

The superstar’s #BeyGOOD campaign, which encourages people to be kind, be charitable and #BeyGOOD to each other and their communities, raised vital funds for The Prince’s Trust during the UK leg of her recent Mrs Carter Show World Tour 2014.

Throughout the tour fans were encouraged to text their donation, donate online or in-venue to the youth charity to help disadvantaged young people across the UK into jobs at a time when almost one in five* are struggling to find work. Everyone who donated was given a chance to be randomly selected for a seat upgrade to an exclusive VIP area near the front of the stage.

Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, The Prince's Trust helps change young lives. It supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.

Many of the young people helped by The Prince’s Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.

Martina Milburn, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust, said:

Thanks to Beyoncé and the #BeyGOOD campaign, disadvantaged young people across the UK will have the chance of a better future, despite facing challenges such as poverty, homelessness and mental health issues. We cannot thank both Beyoncé and all those who donated enough for their generous support.
