Help for Executors
Are you the executor for someone who’s left The Prince’s Trust a gift in their will? We’ve provided some guidance below which we hope will help answers all your questions but if not, please do get in touch with us on giftinwill@princes-trust.org.uk or call John Anderson on 020 7543 1337.
Our charity details
Registered charity number: England and Wales 1079675 and Scotland SC041198
Head Office address: Prince's Trust South London Centre, 8 Glade Path, London SE1 8EG
We were previously located at Eldon Street, London, EC2M so it is possible that the will may mention this address. However, it’s not a cause for concern as the gift is still valid.
How do I pay in a legacy gift?
Please send a cheque made payable to ‘Prince’s Trust’ to Legacies at the above address. It is always helpful if you can include your contact details, those of the deceased, a copy of the will and any information about the reason for the legacy.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to pay via bank transfer or card, please contact us directly.
Inheritance tax
As we are a registered charity, gifts in wills are not subject to inheritance tax and may also be exempt from capital gains tax. We recommend checking the Government’s Inheritance Tax guidance for more information on tax exemptions and conditions.
