Fundraising logo terms and conditions
To support the promotion of your fundraising efforts for The Prince’s Trust, we are able to provide you with our “Raising Funds to Support The Prince’s Trust” logo (referred to here as the “Icon”).
The Raising Funds device is available for individuals to use when promoting their own fundraising activities when all net profits are going to The Trust.
If an individual is raising funds on behalf of their company they can’t use the logo as the company must not receive any commercial benefit. The company logo can’t appear alongside the device.
The device may also be used by Patrons to promote non-commercial fundraising events. If it is used in this way, the company’s logo can’t be used alongside the device.
Example of use:
If an employee of a company was putting on an event (therefore a third party initiative) and all proceeds from the event were going to The Prince’s Trust, they could use the Raising Funds device to promote their event.
However if it was the company putting the event on, they couldn’t use the device as there would be a commercial value attached to the use of it.
1. Conditions of Use
1.1. You use the Icon as shown in order to promote your fundraising efforts (the “Activity”) and do not alter or modify it in any way, except that it may be scaled up or down providing that the relative dimensions of the Icon remain the same.
1.2. If any of the funds raised through the Activity will not be given directly to The Prince's Trust you must make donors aware of that before any donations are made. For example, if some of the funds will be used to cover the costs of the Activity, then this must be declared.
1.3. You do not use any component part of the Icon except in the context of the Icon.
1.4. You do nothing to compromise the distinctiveness or reputation of The Prince’s Trust’s registered trade marks contained within the Icon (the “PT Marks”) nor do anything which affects directly or indirectly the registration of the PT Marks in any jurisdiction worldwide nor knowingly do or permit anything to be done in connection with the use of the PT Marks which could jeopardise the validity or goodwill of the PT Marks.
1.5. You do not use the Icon in association with any part of your business or your employees’ business or in connection with any person, thing or event other than as required in connection with the Activity and do not otherwise gain any commercial benefit from use of the Icon.
1.6. You make no reference to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales' Feathers Badge (except where contained in the Icon) or any other member of the Royal Family or Household except if you are entitled to do so by virtue of a warrant granted by the Royal Household Tradesmen's Warrants Committee and further you do nothing which may bring The Prince’s Trust or any member of the Royal Family into disrepute.
You hereby agree to indemnify The Prince’s Trust against any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including legal and professional advisers’ fees (on a full indemnity basis)) which are made or brought, or incurred or suffered, by The Prince’s Trust (as the case may be) as a result of any legal claim or action brought by any third party against The Prince’s Trust where such claim or action arises directly or indirectly from or in connection with the Activity or use of the Icon.
3. Health, Safety and Insurance
You agree that you have taken appropriate measures to safeguard all staff, volunteers and participants/attendees involved with the Activity; and you confirm that you have taken out adequate insurance for the Activity.
Please note that The Prince’s Trust is not supplying any services in relation to the Activity and is involved in the Activity only as a passive recipient of a charitable donation. As a result, The Prince’s Trust accepts no liability for the Activity or for any loss, damage or claims arising in relation to it.
