Classic (13 mile)
Route: Starting and finishing at the Windsor Racecourse the walk takes participants past Windsor Castle and up into the Great Park. As they reach the park walkers are rewarded with fantastic views of the Castle and if lucky should spot herds of deer roaming in the grounds.

How long will it take? Between 4 – 7 hours depending on your pace
Minimum Age: All participants for the Classic walk must be aged 12 or over on the day of the event. Any participant under the age of 16 at the time of registering must ask their parent or guardian to give their consent and complete a waiver. Ultra (26 Mile)
Route: The walk starts in the majestic grounds of Hampton Court Palace on the banks of the River Thames. Following the Thames Path the walk winds its way West through Walton on Thames, Shepperton and Staines. As walkers approach Windsor they pass the site of the Magna Carta in Runneymede before passing the Castle and making their way to Windsor Racecourse. Being almost entirely alongside the river, the walk provides ever changing views and a lovely gentle route.

Registering for Palace to Palace is quick and simple. Simply head to our Palace to Palace event page and click the sign up now button. You’ll need to have decided which distance – the 13-mile or 26-mile – you’ll be doing, then it’ll just take a few minutes to register (don’t forget to have your credit or debit card handy).
After you have registered just log into the My Registration web page to manage your registration, should you wish to invite people to join your team or transfer your registration to another person.
If your company is paying for your registration fee then you will need to enter a promotional code, which will be provided to you by your company team captain or by the non-participating team administrator, over email upon registering.
Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
There are two ways of entering a corporate team:
- Promote the event within your company and encourage employees to purchase their own places via the main registration page.
- Purchasing places in bulk via our corporate bulk buy option, so that your employees don’t have to pay the registration fee. This year we have introduced a card payment option, as well as the usual option of being invoiced for payment. Once a bulk buy has been bought, you will be sent a link to forward on to your employees.

We are excited to be introducing a bag drop service to this year's event. For £5, simply drop off your bag at the start line and it will be delivered to the Finish Festival for your collection. Please log into the My Registration web page and click ‘merchandise’ to book.
Refreshments will be available on the course and at the end village. There will be plenty of water provided at the water stops too. In a bid to help reduce the use of plastic we will not be providing plastic water bottles at this year’s event. Instead, water taps will be readily available at all of our water stops, so we encourage all participants to bring your own water bottle to fill up.
At the end village there will be concession stands with food and drink available to buy, and we recommend that you bring some of your favourite snacks to eat on route.
Yes, we provide toilets at each of the water stops and at the finish.
The end village will be located at Royal Windsor Racecourse. The address is Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 5JJ.
We recommend that they meet you at the finish so they can cheer you on as you cross the finish line and watch you collect your medal. There is a lot happening at our end village this year, including fairground attractions, refreshment stalls, demonstrations and free goodies for all participants, so please encourage your friends and family to meet you at the end.
There is plenty of parking at Royal Windsor Racecourse, so we do encourage your family and friends to meet you there and enjoy what's on offer at the end village, while you lay back and relax after your walk!

The easiest way to fundraise for Palace to Palace is to use a JustGiving page. You can set up your Just Giving fundraising page by logging into My Registration page and selecting ‘activate fundraising page’.
Make your page as interesting as possible by adding photos and videos and letting everyone know why you’re raising money for vulnerable young people through participating in Palace to Palace. Share your page on Facebook & Twitter and email it to your friends and family. More and more donations are being made via social media, so be sure to share a link to your page!
Don’t forget, you can also use the JustGiving app on your iPhone or Android to update your page. You can also use this handy fundraising checklist to make sure you have everything covered.
We are here to help you fundraise every step of the way. The Prince’s Trust ask that everyone walking the Classic raises a minimum sponsorship of £200 and those on the Ultra raise a minimum sponsorship of £400. All sponsorship collected on JustGiving will be directly transferred to us. If you have collected any cash or cheques in support of your fundraising you can send this in to us at the following address:

Please make sure cheques are made payable to ‘The Prince's Trust’ and include a reference (i.e. your full name) so we know which record to allocate the money to.
