Mount Kilimanjaro Trek

Climb the highest freestanding mountain in the world! Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty African plains; huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit, spectacular views and beautiful ice formations are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.

This 10 day trek takes the Machame route, allowing gradual acclimatisation to the altitude and an excellent chance of reaching the summit. We pass through thick forest, moorland and scree on route to Uhuru Peak, the highest point. This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive mountains in the world. Push yourself to your limits and help us to transform young lives.

Why Challenge yourself for The Prince’s Trust?

We support 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people we help are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.

We give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Fundraising for The Prince’s Trust will help change the lives of some of the hardest to reach young people in the UK.
