Support for starting a business
We work with 18 to 30-year-olds to turn big ideas into a business reality through our Enterprise programme. From training and mentoring support to funding and resources, we're with you every step of the way.
You already have the ideas needed to carve out your own success – so what are you waiting for?
Since 1983 we’ve helped over 85,000 young people to start their own business.
Whether it’s from a parent who champions your every move, your friend when you need a second pair of eyes, or from your future business partner who crunches numbers better than you ever could. You have the ideas needed to carve out your own success, but it’s that support from those who believe in you that enables you and the next business leaders to thrive.
With the support of NatWest, we help thousands of young people a year to set up their own business through our Enterprise programme.
Be inspired by Trust-supported entrepreneurs, from tattoo artists to fitness warriors:

Alex knew he wanted to make a living out of his art but didn’t know where to begin.

Taking part in the Enterprise programme gave Scott the tools he needed to start his tattoo parlour business.

Before finding out about The Prince’s Trust, Dominique was just doing any job she could find.
If you’re 18 to 30, living in the UK and have a business idea or some ideas to explore, our Enterprise programme could be for you.
You can either sign up to enjoy our programme in person or try our new, flexible online platform, with e-mentor support, to help guide you through all the key steps.
In person
Our programme kicks off with a free information session in your local area, and we'll tell you how we can support you and, if you're still keen, we'll also invite you onto our four-day interactive workshop.
You'll get to meet other like-minded people and have the chance to tap into a business expert, covering everything from business planning and marketing to sales, budgeting and tax.
After this, it's time to start building your business. We'll support you to plan and test your ideas and give you the opportunity to apply for funding. That way, you'll be ready to meet our Business Launch Group at the end of the process.
Once you've launched your business, we'll provide you with an experienced business mentor who will be on hand to share advice every step of the way - for up to two years. For more information on our in-person programme, check out our 'What's involved in Enterprise?' detail page.

Online
If there are no programmes available in your local area, if you can’t make it to our four-day course or if you want to learn online instead of in-person, we’ve designed our online programme with you in mind.
Packed with useful videos, top tips and guidance to help you start a business, it's an effective way to learn the skills you need to get ahead at a time and location that works for you – and it's absolutely free. You’ll also be connected with a community of other young people who, like you, want to be their own boss.
With ideas on how to market your business and financial advice, it's a one-stop shop to get you to where you want to be. What's more, you'll have the chance to be teamed with an e-mentor to help you on your journey.
From beauticians and barbers to digital agencies and dog groomers, we think we've seen it all. Or have we? To sign up for Prince’s Trust Online, simply click here.
