Results Day 2018

This summer hundreds of thousands of you have studied and revised in preparation for your GCSEs and SQAs, an important milestone that can open doors and help determine your futures. But, we understand when you tell us that the journey to get there isn’t easy.

No matter what your results are, we’re here to help you.

A group of young people

If you’ve not found your exams easy, don’t worry. You’re certainly not alone. In fact, just 43% of young people we surveyed feel confident to achieve their goals. Clearly this isn’t enough and we won’t rest until every young person feels equipped to achieve their dreams.

What happens on Results Day is important, but it doesn’t have to define your future. If you’re willing to listen to others and work hard, we believe there’s always another route waiting, to get you where you want to be.

In fact, the most important thing throughout the exam process – from start to finish – is that you look after yourself and avoid getting stressed. Because stress is the one thing you definitely don’t need in the exam hall or the results room.

Check out our top tips, in partnership with Young Minds – which provides us with tools and resources to support young people on our Team programme, a 12-week personal development course – to see you through the summer and beyond.

  • Exams aren't everything
  • Get back to what you enjoy
  • Let it go
  • Starting to panic about exam results?
  • Take it slow
  • Whether you get the results you want or not, that's okay
