Marvel and The Prince's Trust

Avengers Assemble!

In 2021 The Prince’s Trust announced a new partnership with Marvel to support the next generation of talented product designers who want to make a positive influence on the world. Now, less than one year on since the first Get Started in Product Design programme with Marvel, the very first collection created by Prince’s Trust supported young people is here!

The young people created products inspired by the teamwork of Marvel’s Super Heroes and the values of inclusivity. The Marvel product range is on sale across Europe now.

Read on to discover more about our partnership, the inspiration behind the collection and to meet the young people who made it happen.

Two iconic universes unite

The Prince’s Trust and Marvel set out to make a positive statement to the world about unity, collaboration, and empowerment. Together we’re supporting young people to ‘find their own power’ by creating products and stories which will inspire customers. The programme was designed to empower young people to break into creative industries like product design, fashion and marketing.

Get Started in Product Design with Marvel

We know the fashion and design industries can be hard to break into, so the Get Started in Product Design programme with Marvel included over thirty different workshops to develop young people’s skills. Young people gained entry-level experience in product design, with guidance and mentorship from Disney designers, marketers, and retail teams.

By the end of the programme, Prince’s Trust supported young people designed two brand new Marvel product collections. As well as fronting the visuals for the product campaign, the young people worked alongside the Disney team on set to help direct the photo shoot and produce materials for the launch.

The first collection focuses on Marvel’s The Avengers and is on sale now. The second range, which launches later this year will celebrate incredible female Super Heroes from across the Marvel universe, such as Wanda Maximoff, Black Widow and Captain Marvel.

In addition to the two-week programme, the young people worked alongside mentors from Disney for six months to build on their skills and secure experience and work opportunities. Many of the group have now started exciting careers in the creative industries.

Take a behind the scenes look at the young people’s experience of the Get Started in Product Design programme.
