How the course works
Meet new people and gain a wide range of practical experiences within the NHS.
We’ll also help you with your CV and interview skills.
Not only will it boost your confidence and employability skills, but you’ll also have the chance to benefit from support from one of our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.
The course is open to young people aged 19 - 24 from Leeds, Bradford and surrounding areas
The full-time course runs for 8 weeks, from Monday the 26th of March until Friday the 18th of May 2018
The course takes place in Leeds City Centre for 2 weeks of training and then at a Leeds hospital for 6 weeks of work experience on a hospital ward
Once you have successfully completed the programme, you’ll have a guaranteed interview for a Level 2 Apprentice role in Clinical Support with a salary of £15,404 a year
You'll be required to undergo a DBS check as well as a skills assessment to make sure you have the right level of English and Maths skills to complete the traineeship (please note that a criminal record will not necessarily stop you from gaining a place on the programme but will need to be disclosed)
