Starting the competition alongside over 3100 other secondary school pupils, the team from Eden Girls School in Waltham Forest beat out the competition to appear in the grand final in London on 8th May.

The final saw them take to the stage in front of a capactiy crowd to showcase their business concept - an idea to disrupt and update the substitute teacher market. Their idea was to create a new online marketplace allowing schools to find their own supply teachers directly, without having to go through agencies and pay the high rates of commission that come with them.

Following their success at the event, the team were whisked off in Rolls Royce Phantom cars to the ITN Studios for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and the chance to meet some of their most notable presenters including Rageh Omaar from ITV and Sian Williams from Channel 5. They then joined the other finalists at the stunning Sky Gardens in central London.

Speaking of their success, Team Ed-Wise said:

We smashed nationals! We can't even explain how amazing it feels. But seriously we want to thank our mentors Mr Khan and Holly for helping us along the way. We really don't think we would have won without them.
