Champagne Laurent-Perrier has been supporting The Prince's Trust with gifts in kind and fundraising initiatives for almost 20 years.
In that time more than 17,500 bottles of its champagne have been donated for use at some of The Trust’s most high profile fundraising events, like Invest in Futures which raise millions of pounds for The Trust’s work.
Gifts in kind are critical to The Prince’s Trust – not only by helping set the tone of an event, but by reducing overheads and freeing up funds The Trust can direct towards what it does best: reaching vulnerable young people through proven programmes such as Team, xl and Enterprise.
Daniel Brennan, from Champagne Laurent-Perrier says:
The brand has donated its champagne to more than 250 Prince’s Trust events. Its bottles have graced the tables of HRH The Prince of Wales, executives from powerful corporations, and celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Benedict Cumberbatch and Rod Stewart. Together they are all supporters of The Trust who unite at these events to toast the incredible achievements of the UK’s most disadvantaged young people.
Young Ambassadors, whose lives have been directly affected by The Prince’s Trust, always attend these events and stand up to talk about their journeys. Champagne Laurent-Perrier cites these firsthand accounts as one of the highlights of their partnership; highlights that also reinforce exactly why its relationship with The Trust is so important.
“Nothing is more impactful than hearing a story with a positive ending, told by a young person who has overcome many great obstacles in their life with the help and support of The Prince's Trust to make a success of their lives,” explains Daniel.
For Champagne Laurent-Perrier, the partnership not only applauds young people’s successes, but echoes values that they are proud to be associated with: investing in young people to help them change their lives.
Champagne Laurent-Perrier staff have also been inspired by the partnership and the difference The Trust makes. Many have become personally involved by dedicating their own time to fundraise for The Trust through individual and team challenges that have included cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats, marathons and more.
As individuals and as a collective brand, Champagne Laurent-Perrier and its staff are looking forward to developing its partnership with The Prince’s Trust further, working together to bring positive change to disadvantaged young people.
