Capita, a loyal partner to The Prince’s Trust since 2014, have raised a staggering £853,000 so far.
Capita is the UK’s leading provider of business process management and integrated professional support service solutions. Committed to social responsibility, Capita works with The Trust to fulfill our aims of helping disadvantaged young people through providing fundraising, sponsorship and strategic support and advice.
For the second year we are proud to announce Capita are the headline sponsor for our flagship cycling event Palace to Palace 2017. Capita’s support of our largest mass participation event demonstrates their ongoing commitment to supporting our work.
Over the past two years, Capita have raised over £853,000 through a host of fundraising activities and sponsorship. Employees have taken part in the Capita Challenge, a Christmas car raffle, the Step Challenge, and two Charity Week events, not forgetting all the runners, cyclists and trekkers who have gone the extra mile to support our young people.
So impressive is the number of Capita employees getting behind the partnership that in 2015 Capita won the Going for Gold Award at our Corporate Employee Awards. The award recognises a company in the first two years of their partnership with The Trust which is rapidly growing employee engagement.
As the first national sponsor of our Million Makers challenge in 2015, Capita also made the 2015’s competition one to remember, with participating teams raising a whopping £1.1 million! Capita’s support allowed us to provide more support for participating teams, develop the scale of our recognition events and improve our Million Makers marketing materials. This has allowed the competition to become bigger and better than ever.
As well as fundraising, Capita has provided valuable expertise and strategic support to The Trust, including:
- Capita SIMS providing pro-bono consultancy to The Trust’s evaluation teams to support further understanding of data extraction processes for programmes
- Capita Talent Partnerships taking four Prince's Trust learners onto their Traineeship Course and matching them to placements
- Capita’s Army Outreach teams delivering programme enrichment to young people on The Trust’s xl programme – allowing them to attend army barracks and engage in activities and drills for personal development and employability skills
