Feeling a bit lost, Aizaz was struggling to motivate himself but after reaching out to The Prince’s Trust, he is now hopeful that with this support he can improve his communication, gain confidence and improve his overall chances of getting a job.

Aizaz had been trying to find work opportunities, but after dealing with the loss of family members and a pending operation he has found the process difficult.

When Covid-19 struck, his operation was pushed back which led him to feeling low, but he tried to stay positive by using his lockdown time to improve his English skills.

After seeing an advert on Facebook for sessions The Prince’s Trust were running throughout Scotland, he contacted them to find out more about how he could get involved.

Since working with The Trust, Aizaz has demonstrated he is committed to taking part, attending all three induction calls with his keyworker and completing the set tasks he was given after each.

With an initial focus on his Personal Development, Aizaz will then move on to focus on his Employability skills which he is looking forward to. He hopes that as well as helping him to find employment, build on his core skills and learn interview techniques, being a part of The Trust’s community will also help him to make friends in Glasgow

I would really like a job in the retail industry eventually and I’m looking forward to my 121 coaching with my keyworker so we can work on my CV and interview skills. I’m glad I reached out to The Prince’s Trust and already I can feel my confidence growing. I can’t wait to start the online sessions and meet other young people even if it’s just online for now.
