Aisa now works, lives independently and is happy. This wasn’t always the case. After her parents split, her life was quite disruptive. Aisa became estranged from her family, had to deal with mental health issues, became homeless, began to drink and was placed in foster care. Aisa’s life was spiralling out of control, she felt low and knew she couldn’t continue to live this way.

Aisa joined The Prince’s Trust Team programme and it offered her the support she was looking for. Aisa’s confidence grew, she started to believe in herself and her future. As well securing a new job through Team, she also became a Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador. This enables Aisa to share her story with others including Prince Charles!

Aisa said: ‘“I joined The Prince’s Trust Team programme and at the time I had no idea that it would have such a positive impact on my life.

I made friends, my confidence grew and I started to believe in myself. I didn’t want to be defined by my past anymore. I’m proud to say that it was through Team that I secured my job"

"I’ve got my own YouTube channel where I share my past experiences in the hope it will help others and I volunteer on the Team programme that helped me. I’ve always loved music and have now plucked up the courage to record some tracks. I’m really excited about my future. I’m in a good place now.”

Aisa is our National Watches of Switzerland Young Ambassador of the Year 2020. This award recognises exceptional young people who volunteer their time to share their personal experiences and inspire others.
