Prince’s Trust International aims to help unemployed young people around the globe into education, training and work, operating in a range of countries which face the huge challenge of young people disengaged from education or employment.
We do this by building on the expertise and experience of The Prince’s Trust, whose effective programmes and strong partnerships help young people into jobs and self employment in the United Kingdom.
Globally it is estimated that around 70 million young people – more than one in ten – are out of work. As the youth population grows further, it is estimated by the International Labour Organisation that five million new jobs need to be added each month to the global economy to keep up with demand. Without the ability and opportunity to access a sustainable livelihood, young people face a hugely challenging start to their adult lives.
Prince's Trust International will continue to innovate and develop, tailoring programmes and working with local governments, partners and NGOs to achieve successful outcomes for young people and provide local solutions to this global issue.
