On Thursday 23rd November 18 teams of four took part in The Prince's Trust first ever indoor cycle challenge at Virgin Active Gyms in London and Leeds.

Each team was trying to race to ultimate glory in their gym and also across the two locations. Each member of the team cycled for one hour to cover as much distance as they could. We even had one Ultra competitor who took the whole four hours on solo!

Competition was fierce and a grand total of 2348km was travelled across the two sites – that’s the same distance as travelling from London to Bulgaria! The national winners were a team in London from Deloitte who travelled 152.9km, just beating our Ultra rider who covered 152.69km and the top team in Leeds from CNG who travelled 149.21km in the four hour challenge. Also taking part were three teams of Prince’s Trust Young Ambassadors who joined together to try to win the coveted title.

A really fun event to be a part of. I enjoyed the camaraderie of doing this challenge with colleagues without having particularly trained for it, and all just giving it a go.
