In 2019 we partnered with FatFace to give young creatives the chance to work with a leading retailer and showcase their designs through the Tomorrow’s Talent design competition.
The Tomorrow's Talent design competition is an opportunity for creatives supported by The Trust to be in with the chance to get their designs seen by thousands of people across the UK and take home a percentage of profit to support their growing business.
The winners of the 2019 competition were Jade Peplar, Hannah Burbury and Claire Montgomery. Their designs can now be seen on Fat Face’s website. For each product that’s sold, 15% of the profit will be split between supporting our work and the work of our young designers.
Claire from Brighton completed our 4-day business Enterprise programme in January 2018. She runs JustDaydreamingShop on Etsy selling laser cut jewellery, prints and cards, all hand designed by her and made sustainably.
Hannah from Hampshire designs and makes her own hand embroidered and screen-printed items. Her designs are inspired by flowers and nature. She completed our Enterprise programme and received a grant which enabled her to purchase her screen printing equipment so she could begin making her products.
Jade from Cardiff completed our 4 day Enterprise programme and received a grant that she used to produce and experiment with a new product range. She creates original collages and prints which she sells through her Etsy store, JDPepp.
If you’d like to take a look at their designs or shop online go to FatFace’s website.
We’re so grateful to FatFace for all their support on this project and giving young designers a fantastic opportunity. We’re excited to see what we achieve together in the future.
