Prince’s Trust supported businesses, Melitarose and Natalie Lea Owen have come together to create a special edition botanical candle just in time for the festive season.

Melitarose and Natalie Lea Owen candle

Founder of Melitarose candles, Serena and surface pattern designer Natalie Lea Owen both launched their businesses after completing the Enterprise programme. After meeting at Scarlett London’s Bloggers Festival earlier this year the pair decided to join forces, leading to the creation of their special edition ‘Wildflower and Bergamot’ candle.

The pair received compliments from many of the bloggers at the festival on how great their products looked next to each other and instantly came up with the idea to collaborate. Natalie said: “When I first saw the Melitarose candles I was drawn to their colourful, eye-catching packaging and pictured my designs working really well alongside the collection.”

Serena said:

I looked through Natalie’s portfolio of prints and her green botanical print stood out. It reminded me of the woods, florals and being outdoors.

Like all Melitarose products, the Wildflower and Bergamot candle is hand-poured and made with natural soy wax which works to create a wonderful scent. With aromas of fresh fir needles with white cedar and musk and a wintery whisper of citrus, it gives a truly festive scent to bring Christmas cheer to any room.

Natalie said:

I can definitely see the potential for lots of future collaborations and I’d love to work with Serena again.

To complement the scent, Natalie designed a bold floral print with foliage and forest greens with accents of berry red and sky blue. Serena said: “I love Natalie’s designs. When I looked through her portfolio of prints, her green botanical print stood out which we incorporated into the candle.”

The candle is available now in our Tomorrow’s Store where all profits are reinvested to fund more programmes, like Enterprise, so we can help even more young people. It is also being stocked at Wholefoods Piccadilly, www.natalieleaowen.co.uk and www.melitarose.com, retailing at £12.
