Last week Cunard hosted a gala fundraising event at The Rosewood Hotel to celebrate 11 years in partnership with The Prince's Trust and together raising over £2.3m to change young lives.

Hosted by TV presenter Mark Durden Smith, celebrity ambassador and singer-songwriter Pixie Lott also shared her connection to our charity before taking to the stage to perform.

The event involved a number of young people who have taken part in employability programmes with Cunard and now work with the company, which brought the event to life.

Young Ambassador Rebecca Beattie shared her powerful story:

"It was such an honour to be at the Cunard Gala. I was truly inspired by all the amazing guests who were so kind and generous.

The Prince's Trust has completely changed my life and I cannot imagine where I would be without them. To have the opportunity to meet so many guests who want to do more to better the lives of young people was extremely uplifting.

"The night was fantastic from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you to all those involved in the Gala and also to Cunard for their continued support."

If that wasn't enough, Serena Francis, Trust-supported entrepreneur, founder of Melita Rose candles, collaborated with Cunard to create a bespoke collection which were distributed as gifts to guests during the evening. Other Young Ambassadors also contributed items for the auction, including drawings.

A massive thank you to everyone at Cunard for everything you do to change the lives of young people across the UK and we can’t wait for another fantastic year in partnership and what we can achieve together.
