The Prince’s Trust and ASDA have been recognised at the prestigious Charity Times Awards. Our partnership with ASDA scooped the ‘National Corporate Partnership of the Year with a Retailer 2015’ Award.

This year the Charity Times Awards attracted a record number of entries, making competition in each of these categories harder than ever.

The Prince’s Trust has been working in partnership with ASDA since 2013, delivering our flagship employability programme, Get into. The programme offers young people the chance to gain accredited skills and retail-related training in ASDA stores. Since 2013, more than 50 ASDA stores have offered four-week work placements for participants of ‘Get into Retail’ and George Home has launched two sets of product ranges designed by Prince’s Trust young people.

The independent judging panel, led by Dame Mary Marsh, Founding Director of the Clore Social Leadership Programme, praised it as:

An ambitious partnership delivering high-quality interventions for young people.

We are underway growing the partnership in 2016 with further Get into Retail programmes expected to support over 192 young people in jobs.
