We are committed to raising the aspirations of our young people and driving social and economic prosperity in Wales. In order to achieve these goals and give more young people opportunities to succeed, we need your support.

Since 1976, we have played a crucial role in Welsh communities, helping young people to improve their lives and develop their careers. The impact of our work is unrivalled.

Recent research revealed that, in the last ten years alone, we returned £102 million in value to society in Wales through helping disadvantaged young people transform their lives. This calculation, which takes into account the return on investment of things like getting young people off benefits and reduced offending, proves that our model works.

It certainly worked for 20 year old Adrian Thomas, from Merthyr Tydfil, who spent the majority of his young life in care. Confused, demotivated and depressed, Adrian’s future looked bleak. We gave him the support he needed to get into work and move forward in his life. He is now giving back to help other young people get their lives on track. He is now contributing to our society. He says,

The Prince’s Trust has had an overwhelming effect on my life. They helped me believe that there was still hope for things to get better and they surely did.

While we are proud of what we have achieved, we know there is so much more to do. Looking to the future, we want to work closely with government and businesses to maximise the opportunities for our young people, to provide support where it is needed most and to grow Wales together.

Our young people are full of potential and we are committed to giving each of them the chance to succeed. The need is considerable, but so are the opportunities. To enhance our provision, we encourage you to support our work. There are various ways to get involved including mentoring, fundraising, supporting events or coming on board as a delivery or funding partner. By working together, we can empower young people to build the future they deserve, benefitting all of Wales.
