The Prince's Trust has appointed Alison Brittain as a Trustee to its Council.
Alison, who brings vast experience from the private sector, is currently the CEO of Whitbread PLC. Whitbread has been one of our partners since 2013 and supports young people to develop their employability skills by delivering our Get into Hospitality programme. The programme runs across the UK through Premier Inn and Costa as part of Whitbread’s WISE programme (Whitbread Investing in Skills and Employment) and Movement to Work (MTW) commitments.
Alison says:
Prior to joining Whitbread, Alison was Group Director of Lloyd’s Banking Group’s Retail Division, where she was responsible for the Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland retail branch networks, the Telephone Banking and Intermediary channels and Customer Products, in addition to the Retail Business Banking and UK Wealth businesses.
Alison previously held senior roles at Santander UK, including Board Director and Executive Director, and spent 19 years with Barclays, including as Director of Barclays and Woolwich Retail networks, and as Managing Director of Barclays Business Banking. Alison is a Non-Executive Director for Marks & Spencer Group PLC and has an MBA from Judge Business School, Cambridge, and a BA in Business Studies from the University of Stirling.
