The Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards
Each year we shine the spotlight on some of our amazing young people, so that their stories can inspire and motivate others.
Our Celebrate Success Awards have become the highlight of our year; our opportunity to pay tribute to the bravery, determination and sheer hard work that our young people demonstrate.
The process begins each summer when staff, volunteers, partners and supporters nominate the exceptional young people they’ve met. In each of the regions and countries, our judging panels select finalists in seven award categories.
Throughout the autumn we hold 11 Oscar-style award ceremonies across the country. It’s our chance to tell the young people’s inspirational stories to packed audiences of friends and family as well as our network of partners and supporters.
All the regional winners then go forward to the national judging panels to select the final shortlist for our UK awards. It’s a near impossible task as the finalists have battled an almost overwhelming range of issues and challenges from homelessness and poverty to drug and alcohol misuse.
Finally, the big day arrives and we roll out the red carpet. Celebrity Ambassadors from the worlds for music, sport, film and TV gather in London to honor our winners. Last year’s awards were hosted by Ant and Dec, with individual prizes presented by Simon Cowell, Kevin Spacey and Thierry Henry, to name but a few.
But the young people are our focus and their incredible stories are revealed to our live audience, and many more, through TV, radio and newspaper coverage.
Celebrate Success brings our work to life in incredible ways and we are indebted to our finalists for sharing their stories. We also recognise the exceptional people – their champions – who helped them on their journey.
None of this would be possible without our generous sponsors, particularly Samsung, who make Celebrate Success possible.
