For over 40 years, The Prince of Wales has been a leader in identifying charitable need and setting up and driving forward charities to meet it. From the early days of The Prince's Trust in the mid-1970s, his charitable interests have grown to represent a broad range of areas including, the Built Environment, the Arts, Responsible Business and Enterprise, Young People, Global Sustainability and Rural Affairs.
His Royal Highness's 15 'Prince's Charities' work to transform lives and build sustainable communities. The Prince of Wales carries out dozens of engagements every year in support of his charities, which together raise more than £100 million annually to fund their activities. The Prince has also established charitable foundations in Australia, Canada and the United States of America. To find out more, visit: www.princeofwales.gov.uk
The Prince's Trust Council
The governing body of The Trust is The Prince’s Trust Council. Its members are trustees and are responsible in law for the work of The Trust. The Council sets the strategy for The Trust, agrees its budget and delegates the day to day running of the organisation to the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team.
ExCo is responsible for the leadership, strategy and priorities of the organisation, for the delivery of the business plan and budget, and for the overall day to day running of The Trust.
