Ambassadors

We work with Ambassadors who give their time to support our busy calendar of events, celebrations and awards.

Without the tireless work of a huge number of Ambassadors, there would be a little less Prince’s Trust sparkle sprinkled over hundreds of events, dinners, celebrations, awards, emails, letters, leaflets and live experiences.

In 2020, we hit a very exciting milestone and celebrated helping one million young people since The Prince’s Trust launched in 1976. Famous faces and alumni of The Trust, Idris Elba, The Stereophonics, Guy Garvey from Elbow, Naughty Boy and David Oyelowo appeared in a video alongside other beneficiaries, commemorating the occasion.

Each year at our Prince’s Trust Awards, stars gather to celebrate our amazing young winners, and 2020 Delta Airlines Rising Star Award winner Jhorvis Tyrell was overjoyed to receive a video call from Jordan Henderson, the Captain of his favourite football team Liverpool FC, to tell him he’d won the award.

In December 2019, we opened The Prince’s Trust South London Centre, and Ashley Walters, famous for his role in ‘Top Boy’, facilitated a drama workshop with young people from South London. Ashley grew up in Southwark himself and loved the opportunity to share his skills and talent with local young people.

From Jon Culshaw performing at the Tech Week Gala Dinner, to Stephen Fry recording voice messages for our event attendees, Anna Williamson hosting our Prince’s Trust Awards’ red carpet, AJ and Neev chairing Facebook Live discussions and Russell Kane entertaining guests on board a train, we ask a lot of our Ambassadors, but they’re always willing to help out.

Music royalty including Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Rod Stewart donated auction items to support The Trust as part of Julien’s Auctions Icons & Idols: Rock "n" Roll sale. Highlights included a custom-made Rolling Stones leather jacket signed by Sir Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton’s stage worn waistcoat.

Inspired by our Music Ambassadors? Watch exclusive music videos on our new Prince's Trust Music channel on Youtube, which celebrates our musical heritage and fuses it with the next generation of artists.

These names are just some of the Ambassadors who have supported us in the last year. We are grateful to the many other Ambassadors who have supported us over the years, as well as our other high-profile friends of The Trust.
