 | Craig David Visits Urban Sound Live |
Nine young musicians were visited by Craig David during an all-important rehearsal for their debut performance as a band onstage at the Nokia Urban Music Festival with The Prince's Trust.
The aspiring stars from across the country had just completed The Prince's Trust Sound Live course and were being filmed for a C4 documentary. The programme follows the nine talented yet disadvantaged people who were selected by The Prince's Trust to perform live in front of thousands at the Festival. They first met back in February when HRH The Prince of Wales came to meet them with Prince's Trust Ambassadors Estelle and Trevor Nelson.
Craig David's visit was to give support and some final advice in advance of their performance on the same Festival bill as De La Soul, Xzibit, Will Smith and indeed Craig David himself.
Craig David later said: "I'm really looking forward to performing at the Festival; it's a great event. Earlier this week I met a band who'd been helped by The Prince's Trust, they had a great vibe and were cool people. I wish them every luck for their debut performance."

 | Zoned out | The Festival had as much buzz outside the arena as in it. The Zones were packed, including the Nokia Streetball Court (above), Parkour Assault Course, The Garage and Diner, and Nokia Mobile Gaming Zone. And the Workshops were wall-to-wall, from New Era's Micology, Beatology and Breakology workshops to the Nokia Music Production and DJ 'shops. The South Thames College Music Technology Workshops were a popular stop as well. MORE
