Truth about Youth
Truth about Youth is the Co-operative
Foundation’s £280,000 project in Bristol, being run in partnership
with The Prince's Trust. It aims to challenge and change the
widespread negative perceptions of young people.
Michael Fairclough, Head of Community and Campaigns at The
Co-operative Group, said:
"Truth about Youth is about helping young people deal with the
challenges of growing up in a culture that has widespread negative
perceptions of youth.
"We hope that by working with The Prince’s Trust and supporting
projects which enable young people to work with adults, the media
and the wider community, we will be able to make a real
difference."
Volunteers on the project have been writing a
bi-weekly column for the Bristol Evening Post click
