business, guidance and encouragement from a mentor is key.
The Explore Enterprise Programme
The Explore Enterprise programme offers unemployed 16 to
25-year-olds support to establish if their business ideas are
viable and whether self employment is right for them. It aims to
support young people to pursue the next step that is right for them
– training, education or self employment.
About the role
Business Mentors provide mentoring support to young people with
a viable business idea. This role is about guidance and helping the
young people to develop their businesses whilst also building their
confidence and skills. It involves helping young people to find and
translate information, understand problems, identify solutions and
implement action plans.
Anticipated role duration and time commitment:
- Commit to support The Prince’s Trust for 12 months or
longer
- 3-6 month relationship with each young person
- On average 2-4 hours per month per young person
Training and Support
You will receive full training and ongoing support by The Trust
for this role.
