Participants on the Mitcham Team programme visit Lloyd's
Eight young people from The Trust’s Mitcham
Team programme were treated to a tour of the famous Lloyd's
Building in the City.
On the afternoon of Tuesday 19th July, eight
young people from The Trust’s Mitcham Team programme were treated
to a tour of the famous Lloyd’s Building in the City. The young
people then had special presentation skills training given by
Lloyd’s Senior Information Risk and Protection Manager, a Q&A
about Lloyd’s and the insurance market, and the opportunity to
create their own very special End of Team celebration event with
the Head Chef at Lloyd’s.
The day also included a healthy debate around the strangest thing
that Lloyd’s had insured and led to handful of the young
people deciding that they would like to wear suits every day!
Lloyd’s welcomed the young people to the
building to get a sense of what working in the city is like and to
give them the opportunity to decide exactly how they wanted to
celebrate the end of their programme, as Lloyd’s has kindly agreed
to host this event for The Trust.
On 11th August, the I.T. team at Lloyd’s will
spend the day preparing a three course meal (complete with a retro
menu with chocolate fondue) for the young people and their guests,
and decorating a function room so the young people are able to
present their experiences on Team to the friendly audience, set to
a Sesame Street theme.
