Himalayas a great success for brave ILG
Congratulations to everyone who took part in
the Himalayas Challenge in May 2011!
Our intrepid participants completed an incredible journey
powered entirely by their own energy. Hiking, biking and
white-water rafting, the teams raced through one of the most
spectacular landscapes on earth - the Annapurna Himal. It was a
tough challenge but our teams were physically well prepared,
battling through searing temperatures to cover 287 km over
challenging but stunning terrain.
All participants did fantastically well with everyone crossing the
finishing line with an incredible sense of achievement. The winning
team who lifted the Challenge Trophy was made up of Andrew Davis
and Aaron McMullen from QuestGates, Mike Dodd and our very own
Prince's Trust Representative Emily Goulborn.

The incredible total raised from the event was over £90,000 with
the Top fundraising team to be announced at a reunion on 15th
July.

The Challenge was a wonderful experience and I
am so glad to be a part of it. The local support teams were
fantastic, the daily challenges were entertaining and I would
definitely recommend this experience to anyone!

Excellent! Emily, The Prince's Trust rep, was
brilliant and entertaining at the same time. The guides in Nepal
were also brilliant. Mark and Ruth from ATD were very good as well,
all questions that we raised were answered. I'll be signing up
again without a question.
