Congratulations to all our fantastic riders
who took part in Palace to Palace West Midlands, supported by
Allianz, on Sunday 19th May 2013.
sun shone down on all of our participants as the ride began in the
awe-inspiring grounds of 1000 year-old Warwick Castle and took
cyclists by Kenilworth Castle, one of the most impressive ruins in
England and through the beautiful old villages of the Warwickshire
We were thrilled to be joined by some of our fantastic Prince’s
Trust Ambassadors for another year. Ex-England footballer and
Palace to Palace veteran, Dion Dublin could once again be seen
riding through the Warwickshire countryside. Former rugby
international player Leon Lloyd also took part for his second year
and was joined by his international teammates Martin Johnson,
Austin Healey and Neil Back.
The 45 mile event finished on the Pageant Field at Warwick
Castle where participants could celebrate with their friends and
families in the gloriously sunny grounds.
Warwick Castle kindly offered a hugely reduced price of £10 for
adults and £5 for children/seniors for basic entrance to the castle
which meant family and friends could enjoy the entertainment before
heading down to cheer cyclists across the finish line.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you
to our event partners Allianz who helped ensure everyone had a
fantastic ride. It also couldn’t have been such an enjoyable day
without the kind support of The Bike Yard, Apache Brave, Bikefood,
Humdinger, JN Fox and Sons UK Ltd, Marathon-Photos, Natural Balance
Foods and Strathmore Water.
