Best of Both: Uniting for Young People
Deloitte’s strategic support has been crucial
to the recent integration of The Prince's Trust with youth charity
Fairbridge.
In
January 2011, The Prince’s Trust announced that two of the UK's
leading youth organisations - The Prince's Trust and Fairbridge -
were joining forces to form one organisation.
Together, The Trust and Fairbridge we will be able support
around 50,000 young people every year to overcome their barriers
and move towards education, employment or training.
Deloitte’s confident direction, focused
thinking and support enabled The Trust to create a comprehensive
integration master plan which will see the two organisations
expected to complete the merger by December 2012.
Paul Nower from Deloitte was seconded into the role of Lead
Project Planner with the objective of ensuring that the integration
work streams could deliver the operational changes within The
Trust, as well as across the Fairbridge centres.
Working with The Trust has been extremely
rewarding both personally and professionally. On a personal level
working with individuals who care passionately about The Trust and
delivering a successful integration with Fairbridge has been
inspiring and hugely motivational. Professionally, this three month
assignment took me out of my comfort zone and tested me in several
ways.

Paul quickly became a strong member of the
integration team adding skills and an enormous amount of tactical
deliverables. His ability to transfer skills and knowledge to The
Trust has been gratefully received.
