Black and White Ball Nominated for Top Scottish Event Awards

The Capgemini Black and White Ball, which runs in support of The Prince’s Trust, has been nominated for two awards at Scotland’s prestigious Event Awards.

Now in its second year, the Black and White Ball – Scotland’s first green carpet event - has been nominated for The Green Award and Best Cause Related/Charity Event at the ceremony due to be held on 11th September at the Glasgow Hilton.

In addition to raising vital funds for The Trust, the Black and White Ball has the dual aim of raising awareness for the need for environmental change. From locally sourced produce and alternative transport to an auction prize of a wind turbine, an ethically sourced diamond and a green carpet – every aspect of the ball is designed to achieve carbon neutrality.

Amy Sieweke, UK Director of Capgemini’s Platinum Patronage of The Prince’s Trust and founder of the Black and White Ball commented,

I am thrilled that the ball has been nominated for two awards and is being recognised for its green credentials, as well as raising awareness of The Trust’s work. We have had two fantastic years of working on the ball and have received immense support from the public and private sectors alike and I look forward to developing next year’s event and hopefully putting an award against its name!
