The Personal Development Partnership

The Prince’s Trust Scotland and Fairbridge in Scotland are involved in an innovative new partnership with youth charities Venture Trust and Venture Scotland, to offer disengaged 14 to 19 year olds tailored programmes of personal development to help them move into a positive destination.

Designed to help young people on the cusp of offending or re-offending and those involved in anti-social behaviour, the project pairs each young person with a Positive Destinations Advisor who works with them to plan their route through each partners programmes and supports them on their own unique journey.

The Personal Development Partnership is funded through the Scottish Government’s Cashback for Communities initiative and operates in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.

The aim is that young people who go through the project will develop skills that allow them to go on to employment, further education or training and divert them from offending behaviour.
