Top artists help raise funds for The Prince’s Trust

More than 35 top artists have helped raise £74,000 for The Trust at Bath's 'Evening of Art' auction.

A Nick Park watercolour, auctioned at the Evening of ArtTwo watercolour illustrations from Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park went up for auction at Bristols ‘Evening of Art’, alongside work from household names such as Sir Peter Blake, Rob Ryan, Quentin Blake and Ken Howard. Some of the pieces were created especially for the event, which was hosted by The Prince’s Trust.

The auction took place at the Assembly Rooms in Bath and was conducted by Dreweatts Bloomsbury Auctions and www.the-saleroom.com.

All of the proceeds from the auction will go directly towards supporting disadvantaged young people through Prince’s Trust schemes, giving them the skills and confidence to find a job.

Michelle Moran, Head of Fundraising for The Prince’s Trust in the South West, said:

We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support we have received from prestigious artists across the UK to make our first art auction a success.

Peter Blake artwork from the Evening of ArtShe added: “The money raised at the auction will help change thousands of young lives at a time when young people need our support more than ever.”

Prince’s Trust supporters Coutts & Co, Smith & Williamson, Withy King, Reside Bath and Knight Frank all sponsored the auction, ensuring that proceeds from the auction go directly to help young people.
