Duchess of Cornwall meets young people
Twelve unemployed young people on a Prince's
Trust course attended a special event on board Cunard's Queen
Victoria, to meet Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall.
Her Royal Highness presented the young people with
certificates for completing The Prince’s Trust Get into Customer
Service programme, delivered by Cunard.
The course helps to give young people the skills and confidence
to find a job in the customer services industry and included work
placements across four Cunard departments.
Cunard is a gold patron, having
enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the youth charity
since 2007 and has so far raised over £800,000 for The Trust.
Peter Shanks, Cunard’s President and Managing Director,
said:
We are proud to support The Prince’s Trust –
helping young people in today’s challenging world is something we
are committed to.
Her Royal Highness was making a special return visit to the
Cunard liner she named five years ago, to mark the fifth birthday
celebrations.
