The Great Manchester Run 2012
Run the Great Manchester Run 10k for The
Prince’s Trust and help change young lives.
Looking for an inspirational, flagship
10k? Take part in the tenth staging of the North West’s favourite
10k running event, the Great Manchester Run.
Based in Manchester City Centre, The Great Manchester Run starts
at the junction of Portland Street and Oxford Street, taking in a
loop of city’s east-side and finishing back in the Centre in the
Deansgate area.
Taking in famous Mancunian land-marks including Manchester
United’s training ground at Old Trafford, the 2011 route for this
race equipped runners well with an Aqua-Pura water station
approximately 5km into the journey, a “run-through” shower at the
6.5km point and live music at several positions throughout the
course to motivate contestants.
Designed for runners of all abilities and broadcast live on BBC
Television, taking part in the Great Manchester Run is a brilliant
way to show your support for The Prince's Trust and make a huge
