The Insurance Leadership Group

The Prince's Trust Insurance Leadership Group (ILG) is a unique networking forum for leaders of insurance companies, brokers and underwriters in the UK.

The ILG has been formed with the support of leading figures within the industry to provide an innovative way for supporters from the insurance sector to fulfil their corporate social responsibility objectives while enjoying significant networking benefits with government, industry peers and potential customers.

Members of the ILG have pledged £3.6 million to help The Prince's Trust deliver projects that help disadvantaged young people to gain skills and get their lives working.

The ILG also has plans to use the leverage of its members to influence how the insurance sector relates to young unemployed people and ex-offenders.

ILG Vision Statement
The Prince’s Trust Insurance Leadership Group is the most compelling way for the insurance industry to help disadvantaged young people improve their lives through enterprise, whilst fulfilling corporate social responsibilities.

In addition, membership of the Insurance Leadership Group provides business benefit through a network of influential business leaders and enhanced reputation through association with The Prince's Trust.

Join us

The ILG is a cost-effective way for your business to build its corporate social responsibility credentials and help make a real impact to the lives of the hardest to reach young people around the UK.

The Benefits

Foster enterprise and boost inclusion
Your donation will go directly to support young people through programmes and initiatives which will help them gain new skills and training, start up new enterprises and enable them to gain employment. It will change lives.

Access to unique events
The ILG will stage industry-specific events and networking opportunities within the wider business community. We'll feature sought-after industry speakers in excellent venues. As an independent charity working closely with Government and business, The Prince's Trust is uniquely placed to facilitate discussion and debate - building bridges across and beyond the sector.

Enhance your profile
ILG supporters will be listed on this website, which gets around 100,000 unique visitors each month. Our events and initiatives receive coverage in the insurance trade press and can be sponsored by companies looking to further their profile within a specific industry area.

Help to insure young people’s futures
The ILG has plans to have a positive impact on the lives of young people from our target groups, with a special focus on those who are long-term unemployed and those who have a criminal past or both. Through leveraging the growing support of the ILG we hope to tackle issues such as the way the insurance and broking community responds to young people, especially those with criminal pasts. We also want to address how the financial services sector can potentially recruit young people who have been through a Trust programme. Lend us your support to make real changes to young people’s lives.

Give something back
You and your employees will have access to a range of structured volunteering opportunities. You could, for example, make a difference to the survival of a new venture by becoming a business mentor, or help a group of young people get one step closer to finding a job by helping them write their first CV.
